China's airline delays !
I often wonder does any one have the same feelings as I do. The flights in China really bother me. Let’s start with my experiences. I’ve been to many countries in the past few years and when I arrive at the airport, luggage is not the main problem. Guess what? What truly annoys me is the delay of flights.
I’ve been to the airports in china approximately 20 times, but almost none of them take off at the expected time. For example, last time I went to Hainan the plane was supposed to take of at 9:45 pm, but the plane was delayed because of some errors that made by the airport staffs. Then another even worse new came- I have to wait till 10:30 to catch up my original flight, just the way I thought it would be. During this period of time, I have no idea was there any compensation that will made. Are you kidding me?? What if I have something important to do? Do you think I’ll let this problem waste 1 hour of my life? NO WAY! So I decided to do something, I called the number for complains, but I was on hold the second I called. I must admit that I was seriously mad every time I have to leave in Chinas airports, how can these airports trap me here for so long without apologizing??
Yesterday, I read an article “China’s rampant flight delays lead to airport brawls.” This article told me that in month of July 17.8% of flights departing from Beijing’s airport was on time. Are you serious? How ridiculous was that?? That means in the month of July 82.2% of people were facing the same problem as I. Later it improved to 28.8%, still way out of line! And that was just Beijing! I can’t imagine how painful it would be for me to take flights from Chinas airports again; I’m afraid I might get stuck in the airports forever!
As a developing country, China’s airports are a huge failure. Airports are the signature sign of the country. Foreigners take off from the airports to travel back home. Besides that, these problems also might cause trouble for families that want to relax themselves a little bit, not just ruining their moods, also the time they have. Another thing to think about, if you are on your way to sign the contract that will change your whole life and you have to complete it by taking a plane off from china, do you want to risk it? If these are the services china gives out, I’m not sure if anyone wants to visit China anymore. I can tell you this - China’s airports are a mess! As a Chinese person, I’m very proud of my country but we have to try accepting others opinions instead of making the same mistakes again and again.
I still remember these jokes I heard about China’s airline delays: “If an old person walk into this airport, he may end up dying in there. If a pregnant lady walks into this airport, by the time she gets to her destination, she will already have three generations in her family.” Sometimes I will ask myself this question:” Will I ever walk into an airport in china and still stay in a good mood after thirty minutes?” My answer is no, NEVER! Will you???
