We shouldn't compare our self with others !
Comparing yourself to other people is extremely terrible. It's like a slow disease, cancer-like. People on the outside don't really see it, but actually you're suffering on the inside. The feeling of stress and jealousy that is inside of you, that dwells in you, and makes you want to beat the other person down so horribly, just to tell them that you’re better then them. But have you actually thought that you are truly happy while you tear the other person down? Is that what you really want? Or has it stopped you from getting what you really need.
In my opinion, comparison is a serious situation and has become a major part of our lives. We compare ourselves to our friends, family or even a stranger that passes by. Sometimes we compare ourselves to our friends, thinking “Why did he got selected and I didn’t, I’m always better then him.” Or “she has so many friends I wish I was like her.” These thoughts come out so easily that we don’t know it is really harmful. It causes resentment and depressions, making us feel envious and dispiriting every time. So we should think in a brighter way, be glad for them and don’t compare ourselves, tell yourself that you are satisfied; you don’t need that vanity of comparing. That way friendship might last for a lifetime, and resentment will die for its own good.
Also, comparison diverts us from our true passion in life. An example could be if you had a passion for writing, and you saw someone that is brilliant at dancing; you compare and want to be like them. You work on it day and night, comparing your weaknesses to other person's strengths. You would be working on other people's dream and not yours. I mean this is crazy; we shouldn’t drop our passion and work on other people’s dreams. We should keep trying even when other people are better then us. Also comparison affects our happiness, which is a humongous problem, because being cheerful is what we’re trying to achieve everyday. There is always said that happiness begins when comparison ends. And comparison is painful, it even affects our health. So why not choose a healthy body and mind instead of a depressing, gloomy life!
And I think comparing with each other is useless, our generation is too superficial. There’s no winner or loser, because we just compare ourselves from the out side, such as like who is prettier who’s richer, who is cooler… But what really matters is the inside heart. So there is no point to compare. To stop it, we should try to accept others, have good self confidence and not try to force change. Focus on yourself; let other things to distract you, to keep you busy. Don’t let comparison get in your mind and change you, it robs you of your individuality and you begin to look at the world through someone else's eyes. Sometimes you just need to have faith inside of you that you are special. No one's perfect, perfection is a myth, so why trying to be perfect instead of enjoying imperfection? Everyone’s different; we should be ourselves, and that’s what matters now, so just be cheerful and keep on with your passion.
