Discrimination shown by the media !
I am agitated by the discrimination people have shown in the media. This is crazy! " Wrong information always shown by the media, negative images is the main criteria." These two sentences are from the song Where is the Love sang by the Black Eyed Peas. This is very true, because negative images can bring discrimination.
Everyone is equal and The Universal Declaration of Human Rights clearly states that " All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. However there are still discrimination between some people. A discrimination example would be the teacher only gives fruit the white students, but not the black students. This really pissed me off! Are the black students uglier than the white students? Or are they more dumb? No! The teacher did not gave the fruit to them just because they're black. If the black didn't get the fruit, why should the white get it? This is discrimination and the black students are treated badly in this case. Such discrimination is analogous to the discrimination on T.V
Media are communicate channels through which news, education, entertainment, information are disseminate. However the media is showing the wrong images and being extremely offensive. They make up stories and illusions for the audience. The want to show that some races are in a higher position and look down on others. They're creating the illusion that they're gods and can control others; giving them power and others must obey them. The company Intel made a commercial in 2007 to promote how fast their computer core can function. In the picture a white manager (master?) stands over six black athletes who bow in perfect symmetry before him. This was soon accused for discrimination against the blacks. This is absolutely ridiculous, does this even mean that the whites can control the black? Just by looking at this picture it reminds me of the American Civil War. A powerful slave imagery, and how could Intel say they're 100% innocent! Did they even consider the consequences of bringing this absurd image! If you want to look up more of these racist commercial ads here is the http://www.adsavvy.org and search for 25 most racist commercial ad! Discrimination on T.V equals no morality!
Also people are being brainless and did not consider every word they speak brings consequences and responsibility. Especially when they're on T.V where anyone can hear them. The famous television host Jimmy Kimmel had a show on ABC called the "Children’s Table". When Jimmy Kimmel asked the kids what should we do when we own China 13 thousand million debts. Well, a kid suggests to kill all the Chinese people. If I was the host I would've challenged it right away. However what really bothers me is that he took it as a joke! He said it was an interesting idea! How rude and offensive is that to 1.3 billion Chinese people. Imagine killing his own race would that be funny? He apologized afterwards and felt really sorry, but who cares! Once something is shown or spoke out you can't take it back! No matter how sorry or guilty you felt afterwards.
A reality show called the Big Brother is about a bunch of strangers living together and whoever is the last wins a prize. Big Brother Season 15’s (US) guests making ignorant, offensive remarks about a variety of demographics including homosexuals, Asian-Americans, and African-Americans. There was a girl called Aaryn who was super racist in the show. She tells an Asian to shut up and make some rice. Then she takes a step further and tells an African American be careful what you say in the dark, might not be able to see the bitch. She should be labeled as “ the most racist person”. The funny part is after she said all these offensive words, she said she did not mean it. Aaryn said that it had to do with the "stereotype" associated with Southern people. How ridiculous is that! She just wanted to take back for what harsh words that came from her mouth. Well you can’t take it back since the show was live on the internet and T.V. Maybe she should consider putting tape on her mouth, so she can’t be racist and rude.
The media should never show anything like discrimination that is abusive, offensive words or images. Take a deep thought and think how you would fell; if you're the one who was being discriminated. We should show respect for each other. I suggest promoting anti-discrimination and showing more positive things on T.V.
